WE TAKE A LOT OF FIRST TIMERS DOWN THE RIVER WHO HAVE NEVER BEEN RAFTING BEFORE. THEY’LL ALSO BOOST LOCAL BUSINESSES THIS LONG WEEKEND. THE RIVERS HAVEN’T BEEN THIS GOOD AND EASILY TEN YEARS. WE HAVE A LOT OF DIFFERENT STREAMS AND CREEKS AND TRIBUTARIES THAT ALL FLOW INTO THE TRUCKEE RIVER, CREATING PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST SEASONS WE’VE HAD THAT FOR WEEKS, HAVE STRUGGLED AS LOW WATER LEVELS HAVE IMPACTED A STRETCH BELOW THE LAKE TAHOE DAM, CAUSING THOSE BUSINESSES TO REMAIN CLOSED. OUR NUMBERS HAVE BEEN LOW ONE BECAUSE OF THE CONFUSION AND THEN TWO BECAUSE OF THE WEATHER. BUT NOW WITH THE WEATHER BEING NICE AND HOT, WE’RE STARTING TO SEE OUR NUMBERS JUMP BACK UP.
