MADISON – Scott William Newton, 38, of Madison, handed away on July 24, 2023, whereas on a rafting journey on the Penobscot River. Rafting was certainly one of Scott’s nice passions.
Scott was born Feb. 15, 1985, in Skowhegan to William and Deanna (Swain) Newton.
Scott graduated from Skowhegan Space Excessive College, class of 2003, the place he was a pacesetter within the Outside Assets Program. He went on to obtain his diploma in Outside Recreation Administration and Enterprise Administration from Washington County Group School.

He’s survived by his spouse, Mallory Newton; daughters Riley and Hope Garland; his mother and father William and Deanna Newton; his maternal grandparents Malcolm and Irma Swain; mother-in-law, Karen Weese; brother-in-law, Derek Weese, spouse, Kassie and their daughter Harper; and Mallory’s grandmother, Charlotte Elliott; together with a number of aunts, uncles; cousins; and his greatest good friend for the reason that 1st grade, Aaron Grey, his spouse Melissa and all the Grey household. Scott touched the lives of so many and had so many mates everywhere in the nation.
Scott will probably be remembered for his humorousness, caring means, and his ardour for the outside. The outpouring of affection and assist is overwhelming, a lot appreciated and a real testomony to the person who everyone knows and love.
A celebration of Scott’s life will probably be held Monday, Aug. 7 at 1 p.m at The Waters Edge Property, 624 Waterville Rd., Skowhegan.
